You know it.
Yes, although the mod scene is going to be slower as the file compression or somethign has changed. Other than that, the gameplay is a lot tighter, presentation is nuts and if you like legends then that mode is fun as well.
Id say NBA 2K is the only game that really makes use of its annual cycle and upgrades itself in the core areas; ie gameplay.
Its awesome, its a shame the NBA is in lockout so we dont have the latest rookies/rosters.. but I was doing My Player as a test last night and was sucked right in.
Had to play in the showcase game, railed 16pts in a double OT loss! Infact I missed the chacne to win the game with a 3 rolling around the rim before popping out
Then the Suns, Warriors and Rockets all interviewed me.. I told the Rockets to shove it
and thought id go 14th to the Suns... but then the Warriors jumped in on the 11th pick and took me, did a huge billboard with me on as their new ad campaign My player looks like a cross of Anderson Varejao and B-Diddy with huge bright yellow Adidas trainers on lol
We got pummelled by the Lakers in the opener though, I struggled with the pace of it.. Ellis and Curry carried us, but Kobe was legit all night stroking 40.

oh and if you like mods www.nba-live.com is the best place to start with, there are others... ill get them all together and sort out the opening post.

As for mods, some stadiums have had a full makeover, many floors... and dornas as well.
The TNT scoreboard is nice, or ESPN.. adds a more realistic look to the presentation.

Dont worry too much about the length ie when they say for 12min quarters... they scale fine to at least around 8mins (i play 10mins).

Make sure you backup the original file that you are going to copy over.
Also the longer the game has been out, the better the patches get/ the more there are. ie dont worry that your stadiums will be constantly updated, as you will eventually get packs that include the lot done to them... down to the string of the net
Cyberfaces is the big thing atm, they need the editor to get these done.. plus jerseys in HD. Loads more to come, 2k11 was ridiculous in the end (not sure if you had that?)
