Got this yesterday after having played the demo on STEAM and have to say it truely is the best Basketball game EVER on the PC.

Completely destroys ANY of the EA NBA Live efforts.

Great, polished presentation and attention to detail is great with a superb game mechanic which you can make as advanced as you wish.

This is by no means a "sloppy port".

A great effort by 2K games, now if only they would put the NHL 2K series on the PC with the same attitude as was given to this.

Is it really that much different?
I was a fan of the EA NBA series, but tailed off them a year or so ago as it was the same thing each year re hashed.

great graphics, good gameplay and its worth the £17 i payed for it

Hi. I'm a massive fan of Basdketball and thus the NBA (only proper league) and one of the main reasons I recently purchased an xbox360 was for the sports games, fifa09 etc. I bough NHL 08, NBA 08, fifa 08 for pc and they are a disgrace!!! PS2 ports, NBA 08 max res you can select is 1280*1050 or something, disgracefull!!!!
Anyway, is the game as good as the xbox360 version or a inferior version?

Agreed about E.A Sports not even trying. I like Ice Hockey and the recent NHL games suffer the same problem of resolution only going upto 1280xsomething which is disgusting for a game released in 2008

Never played NBA 2K9 on a console but to me, this seems a SUPERB PC basketball game.

Picked mine up for £8.98 off the bay delivered, brand new and sealed. Considering the recent NHL 09/NBA Live games retail at £20+ this is worth the same or more.
