Grabbed this from PSN last night, it's still installing, but I had a go on the quick game option to get a feel for it.
No idea what's going on tbh, I started to get an idea for the controls, but I've got a lot of work to do before I'll even be competent!
Once it's fully installed I'll put a bit more time into it, then hopefully I'll get my head around it.
Looks great though, extremely polished graphics!
 
It's a really great game but the fact 2k patched in DRM on your saves and their servers being up and down all the time, mostly down over Christmas will likely drive you mad when you can't play the bloody thing.

Grab the mobile App so you can claim your free daily virtual currency, your going to need it.
 
This game is unfortunatly a mess. Their servers are out more times than I care, and if you run surround over optical it stutters like mad. When their down most of the game is unplayable. It also seems to get confused leading to potential save game corruption.

Im hoping it gets better, as overall it could be a great game.

So far im just practisimg and doing quick matches.

Talking of which the servers are not responding again. If I quit the connection it warns I may suffer loss of progress which I know damn well I will, just after a tough win against the Thunder.
 
I love NBA 2K such a realistic game. I love the way 2K capture individual players styles. Never had any problems online myself and on the rare occasions the servers are down you can still play offline... Played NBA 2K for ages and never had a single bad save file or disconnect.
 
was considering getting this on the psn sales for ps3 and upgrading to ps4 but going on these reviews might not bother, but then few of you said its a good game.. honestly wished ea had released NHL 2014
 
Still worth buying. If it doesn't settle down in a month I'm gonna return it to Asda.

Real shame. But others don't seem to have such a negative view, it's a subjective view. I'm sure everyone has the same problems, just perception is different.

I generally find games slow to load on ps4, well rivals and nba. COD is fine though.
 
Has anyone had problems installing this game? I've downloaded the 40GB game but it is taking 6hours to install 50%?

Any ideas?

Just got this game the other day and really enjoying. Not too sure what's going on in parts but I found some youtube videos that have showed me some basics

I read somewhere that 2k said if u start your career or whatever it's called whilst the console is not connected to the internet, then it starts an offline career which won't be effected by server issues. That's what I'm going to do as I'm not fussed about playing the career bit online

Hi mate,

Didn't try rebooting, just left it on overnight and everything is installed and working. I woke up and switched the TV on and I thought I was watching a real NBA match, this game has awesome visuals, probably the most impressive PS4 game I've got(got all the PSN and Killzone, Need for Speed).

Be interested in knowing if any one else has sound stuttering over optical out with this game.

I do. Badly. But I've just discovered that when it happens if I unplug the hdmi cable and put it back in, on putting it back in the sound goes, and then comes back on and works.

I think when the system says 'installed' it means it's downloaded enough to a point where you can fire it up and play, while the rest downloads and installs in the background

got this myself when the sale was on even though im not really that interested in basketball but wanted more games for the ps4.
Graphics are stunning like people have said...i could watch slow motion replays for hours and just messing around on a practice court is great fun.
Im good at dribbling and shooting but seem to really suck at defending and tackling lol.
Gorgeous game...animations are so realistic but for me its still just basketball and kinda boring. i wish it was a fight night game or something instead with those graphics.

Really enjoy playing this game but have to say that the online dependancy for MyCareer is pretty shocking. Offline modes just shouldn't have this **** attached to them.

The gameplay itself is amazing, it's great to see your player hit his stride and start to take over games.
