My 720P TV blew up last night, power surge I think, so went out and bought a panasonic 42" Viera 1080p LCD
Now I cant seem to get the tv out to show 1080p on the TV, I think it is due to the GPU having 64mb shared memory.
Can anyone finalize this or is there a fix for this.
At the moment I am using 1280x768 as there is no 1366 option like on my previous TV, as you can imagine its not great as always it looks best at TVs native rez.
Thanks for help.

You don't need HDMI to display 1080P, VGA/DVI work too of course.

Just depends if the NC10 can output that resolution, not sure if it does.

thats what I thought, maybe the TV cant output 1080p from a VGA signal, would have thought the NC10 could, its a shame as my previous 720p TV worked a treat at 1360x768 really sharp picture, but because I cannot get to the max rez of TV, picture is quite blurry which is no good really.

I checked the Panny website and the current Viera 42" LCD model can't accept 1080p over VGA, the max being 1280x1024 or 1366x768. See page 66 of your manual :p

The NC10 can output up to 2048x1536.

if it helps, i have an msi wind which can do 1080p through vga. Broadly the same specs, so yours should be. I just plugged mine in through vga and sent the video signal to external source on the netbook.

Thanks so seems like the TV then, bit of a blow really when you spend out on new TV and it doesn't do what you need it to.
