NCB for named drivers.

But surely this will mean more and more young drivers being named drivers on a parents policy, when really they are the main driver :confused:

Yep it probably will. I was looking at Tesco's website yesterday and they do not give no claim bonus for named drivers, however they do offer a discount if you are a named driver and have not crashed for x amount of years. So I guess it is not strictly the first occurance of this kinda thing.

Good idea if you ask me. Its a nightmare insuring cars for young'ens like me.

You'll find most companies will do this if you've been with them for a while. My mother has been on my dads policy for years, she's never had her own insurance (she was classed as the main driver though). When my dad opt'd out of his company car he need a personal car, therefore his policy back so to speak. More than offered my mum 5 years NCB despite being a named driver! :eek:
