Anyone come across this before.

In December my partner and I decided to go down to one car as our other one was needing repairs and was passed onto a family member. It was done for financial reasons.

We cancelled the insurance and paid it up to date with admin fee's. Fast forward our financial situation has improved so we purchased a second vehicle.

We insured it no problem and supplied them with the documentation about my partners 7 years NCD (minus the last year as the policy wasn't complete which would have been 8 years).

I received an email today saying the NCD was unacceptable? They are asking for proof that the car SORN?

The car was never SORN and is still on the road in somebody else name. Just sent them across a proof of sale receipt which they are confident the insurer will accept. They have also ask for proof my partner remained a named driver during the gap.

Never had this before has anyone else?
