Hi all i am looking for a decent ND filter kit for 72. 77 and possibly 82mm lenses i own.

I have heard about the LEE filter systems that seem to be similar to a cokin system and was wondering if i should invest in one of these instead of buying an individual ND filter for different lens threads?

i am looking for 2-4 and possibly an 8 stopper ND filter.

My budget is around 250.

Kind regards

Invest in the Lee system, though you may struggle at £250 as you'd need adapter rings for each of the lenses you have and they're ~£19 a pop. I've got the 3x ND grads kit and Little Stopper (will pick up the Big Stopper when funds permit).

You can build up the Lee one slowly, get the foundation system and the brackets for all the sizes that you want and start with 2 & 4 stop (can stack always stack them, the Lee let you stack up to 3) and build up.

They hold their value the best should you want to sell them later.

Also skip the 2 stop, just use a CPL. The most useful are the graduated ND filters really, 2 stop grad had and soft, a CPL and a 8 stop tend to be the most important.
