Shipping November 21st in Japan, the 4.2-inch DSi LL is priced at ¥20,000 (about $221). The above comparison is straight from the Big N showing the DSi LL vs. the white DSi. Besides the obvious increase in height and width, the 21.2-mm handheld is chubbier than the 18.9-mm DSi but slimmer than the 21.5-mm DS Lite when it ships in your choice of dark brown, burgundy and natural white. The battery seems to be roughly on par with the DS Lite going for about 4 to 5 hours on maximum brightness and intensity or 13 to 17 hours when dialing back the display to its lowest settings. No word on US or international shipping yet but obviously they'd be smart to get this out in time for the holidays. I have a DS but don't really see the point in all this. It has the same res screen doesn't it?

Nobody is forcing anyone to buy this DS. Nintendo are clearly keen to make as much money from the DS as possible. I'm sure it's still reasonably portable, and with the success of the DS range as is, I don't see why they'd bother making a next gen version. It's not as though Sony or Microsoft have anything on the horizon, AFAIK.

Sales are low, time for a new addition to the DS family, I am sure in Japan, where most of the population already have one, people will buy this by the bucket load.

EU/NA get shafted, as loads of parents will buy their kids the "small" DSi this xmas, only to have them disappointed in the first few months of 2010 when this is released.

Awesome, going to Dubai this December, hopefully it'll be cheap, do like the idea at not squinting at a DS, usually have to wear my specs!

Bigger screen cant be bad. But I will reserve judgement until I physically see a game in action on this thing. (Not sure how much chunkier it will look since I assume it will have the same number of pixels (only just bigger).

i dont see the point in the dsi at all, you get a novelty camera but lose the ability to play gameboy games :S

Has anyone got one of these yet or know if you can have english menus etc within the system and pre installed games.

My daughter wants one for Christmas.

HMMMM you'll have to pay premium for an import then and even then you probs wont have full functionality of the DSi store etc as this is wuld be a Jap console - my advice would be to wait until a PAL realese which I reckon will be spring 2010
