I've been looking for a new headset for a while. I have the Sennheiser 595s and a clip on MIC but I'd rather be cable free or have a built in MIC. My options:

Sennheiser Game Zero - all round great with carry case and good microphone

Steelserioes 800 - Decent sound, good battery, crap microphone but could potentially use with my Xbox one

New Astro A50 - not many reviews of the new version but they are pricey

Opinions?

Only good thing about Astros is the mixamp, which if you get by itself can be bettered for the money. My opinion anyway.

What's your budget?

Probably 200, but I could potentially stretch to the Siberias but the mic quality troubles me. I think the game zeros seem the best bet, but the wireless capabilities could've been useful for potential connectivity to steam link

You looked at Beyerdynamic MMX300? Still a good headset imo.

Beyerdynamic Custom One PRO meant to be decent too but I've not tried these.

This is to do with gaming headsets.

Okay.

(£50-70)Mionix nash 20, (£100)hyper x revolver, sennheiser 363d (200 ish) or sennheiser 373d( new one coming out 200 ish again)

I think you should look at the sennheiser offering.

The Beyerdynamic MMX300 is a gaming headset and a very good one at that

I take it the only difference between the game zero and the 373 is the inbuilt mic?

Looks like a Game One with it's own DAC and DSP

So basically a HD558/598 + Mic + (DAC + DSP + Amp)

To me, the nash 20 is better because it doesn't hiss unlike the hyper x revolver with the mic on that is, heard a hiss with the hyper x revolver.

When the mic is off on the revolver there is no hiss at all.

Having heard of niggly issues with wireless headsets and replacement batteries...I'm leaning towards the 373.
