I've been using the Intellimouse Explorer 3 for games but now the left click is on its way out so I'm looking for an alternative wired mouse.
Although the intellimouse is almost perfect comfort-wise, it feels a bit tacky so I'm after something with a bit better build quality.
As I say, it's mainly for gaming use but I don't want to spend loads. Budget up to around £40 - possibly a bit more.

I've had a few of the Logitechs before, an MX 510 (I think) and a G5. Although they're great mice I'm not too keen on the way your thumb goes into a big indentation on the left. I find with the intellimice that you can just use a light grip with the palm slightly above the back of the mouse rather than touching it.
I just spotted this one which looks just like the intellimouse but it kind of blows my budget. Looks great though :)

Steelseries XAI HD Gaming Mouse

I did go for the Xai in the end, after reading loads of positive reviews.

It arrived today and I'm really impressed - really solid build quality and ultra comfortable. It's a lot to spend for a mouse but hopefully it should last a long time.
