Hey guys,

I'm currently nearing the end of an 18 month contract with 3 in which I got an N95, 500 mix and match minutes and unlimited internet for about £27.

I would like to continue the same contract, for the same price, but with a new N97 thrown in as my upgrade. Do you think 3 would go for that kinda thing? I know, as the customer, you have a certain amount of power over the company to say 'give me this or I'm leaving', but do you think this would be too much to ask, considering the N97 contracts seem to start at £35.

What is reasonable to ask? :)

Thanks!

dont stay with three. they are hideous and it will hurt you in the long run. Also their network seems to be degrading in effectiveness, though all i can base this on is the experience of 2 people who have used 4 different phones.

I left three 2 weeks ago and in the last 2 months just about every phone call I made or receive needed me to reconnect or run around for reception.

I am now with orange and magically all coverage problems in my house are gone.

My friend stayed and got an n97 and he still has the same problems.

Their customer service also has a habit of lying to try and get you to stay. The best one was that I couldnt give thirty days notice that I want to terminate my contract at the end of its term outside of 30 days from termination (what?!?!?)

So far, 3 have been alright with me. Coverage has been good and CS have always been helpful whenever I've rung them with a problem. I'm quite aware of what they are and are not allowed to do in terms of ending the contract so hopefully, if all goes to plan, I'll be able to get a good deal from them! Thanks for the advice though!

Yup, 18 months.

Alright, cheers!
