actually thats not true but I was going down the M27 just past southampton this morning at about 7:45am this morning and saw the aftermath of an incident on the other side...

I'm normally quite good with this sort of thing and just carry on my way but today was different and I found myself with my head turned almost backwards screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO as I touched the rumble strip next to the central reservation.

Old old focus stuffed up the back of what at 85mph looked like a V8 Vantage and given the mess that was the front of the Focus and the Aston driver with head in hands it looked pretty pricey :(

Stupid but it put me in a subdued mood for about half an hour
 
Easy done. I nearly trashed my first car 23 years ago staring at a fantastic bird on my way to work on morning. A real head turner and when I looked back the world had stopped.......accept me. The drum brakes did their ABS thing (ie hardly stopped me) and I managed to find a gap but she was worth it as she was as FAF!
 
My brother almost went into the back of the car in front about 2 hours ago as I was pointing out a nice old XJ6 Jag to him. My last words before impending hurtleage were "The aerial still works".
 
it was the romsey side, I'm lucky enough to commute from southampton to bournemouth which means I get to see traffic jams every day but rarely find myself in them :)
 
I had something vageuly similiar a while back, but would have been incredibly embarrasing at the time!

Was going along a fairly busy dual carriageway, traffic slowly moving because of an accident up ahead. Anyway i get up parallel to the accident, a delivery truck had gone into the back of a Ford Ka. Anyway the passengers of the Ka happened to be 4 really hot chicks, and just happens as i was rolling past one bent over to assess the damage on the rear bumper, i got an eyeful of cleavage and next thing i know im slamming on the brakes to stop narrowly behind the car infront. God knows what I'd of said if i had hit the car.

I almost done the same thing this morning in a van! :eek: :D
 
This is a little embarrassing but I very very nearly drove right into the back of the Google street level mapping car a few weeks ago. I was following it through headingly heading towards Leeds town centre. I was so amazed to actually see it i was intently staring at the cameras and trying to see how it works when It never clicked that it had stopped. Luckily my 26 tonne truck has antilock brakes and was lightly loaded so I managed to swerve into the bus lane and pull up along side it. I cant wait to see the journey when it comes up online it should be hilarious to see my blurred out face of fear.

Always vowed if I was to ever crash my car staring at a fine young lady, then I'd have to go and talk to her first then worry about the accident. I mean what an opening line. :D
