NEC 20WGX2 VGA X360 issue

When I use this monitor with the official vga cable I get slight horizontal lines noticeable on completely solid blocks of colour. Do you get this and if not howdo I resolve it?

OK for some reason it doesn't do it in photo mode but it does in every other mode. Any ideas?

does having advanced DVM on/off make any difference?

on makes it slightly better.

Edit: Also, are there any places where people have recommended their settings?

Thanks. Those settings didn't help with my VGA issue though
