NEC 24WMGX3 Flickering...

Hi all,

I've had the monitor for just under 2 months now and as of late I've started to notice it flickering. I notice it when I move my eyes from one place on the screen to another. It's not always there but it's there enough to concern me. My eyes are really beginning to ache whilst using it. It sometimes doesn't turn on also; even when I manually press the power button. The only way to rectify it is to take the plug out of the extension socket and put it in another slot.

What should I do? I thought lcd's weren't meant to flicker and obviously I can't increase the refresh rate as I'm using DVI. Does it sound like a fault?

Anyone? I don't seem to notice it while gaming but just on the desktop etc..

If it's not behaving the same as when you first bought it, then it's faulty.

Best to contact your retailer.

Has the refresh rate been changed? It should be on 60Hz for TFT

I'm sorry if this is too simple, but you don't have the mp mode activated by mistake as this causes the screen too flicker. There's 3 settings 1-3, check it's off.

Good point nessy, I read the MP causes flicker and is primarily used to lower input lag for gaming, could well be that.

Hi all,

The refresh rate is 60hz and no the mp mode isn't turned on. Thanks for your help anyway.
