NEC Multisync 24WMGX3: Is this the best 24" monitor for my intended use?

Hello

I intend to use this monitor for pc/ps3/360 gaming, watching films in HD when I might not be sitting directly in front of the monitor (so good viewing angles required) and basic desktop use. I'm ok with paying this kind of money, if the difference between this and cheaper monitors is worth it, but is it?

In addition, is it reasonably future-proof in terms of advancing technology, or is there something lurking just around the corner that I should wait for in this price bracket?

I've also heard that if you plug in a 360 on a 24" monitor that displays more pixels than 1080 i.e 1920x1080, it can look blurry, is this true?

Thank you for any help you can give on this matter.

I will use it for exactly the same things - games, HD movies, browsing and windows work (not professional photography or anything).

I just today ordered it, it will come in on tuesday, so I will post my impressions then. But there is already a really big thread here about this monitor, and lot of people say it is one of the best on the market right now.

Someone else said that it suffers from extreme ghosting though, but whow knows - I will see for myself and if I am not happy with it, I will either return it or sell it.

oh and as for glossy/matte - it is combination of both, kind of : ). At least that is what one of its users said about it.

Thanks. I'll have to find those threads. I can handle a compromise between glossy/matte as it sounds like the best of both worlds. Good luck with it and I look forward to hearing about your impressions.
