What has happened to this monitor? Its not on the OCUK website anymore and i was about to order a new system

Can anyone recommend me an alternative?

It has been discontinued. The HP monitor around £420 is now the best. Custom PC rate it highly.

Stopped making it. No exact alternative for the price I think.

Shame as it would have been the next monitor I wouldve bought when upgrading my current Nec 20"

It appears it is not available in the UK any longer, as regards other quality 24" monitors, have a look at the HP LP2475w or the Dell 2408WFP, it seems that the latest revision of this (Dell monitor) A02 is now shipping...

The NEC, HP and Dell all use IPS panels of one sort or another so should be fairly even. It just comes down to price and connections really.

Actually the NEC uses a VA panel. From the sounds of things the HP is as good a monitor.

The HP is the best alternative, it has an excellent H-IPS panel and a slightly faster input lag of 25ms compared to the Dell.

The HP is basically the best monitor at that price range now that the NEC is impossible to find (in that price range at least). It is wide-gamut unfortunately but then so is the Dell so it'd still be better to get the HP.

I bought my 2nd one of these monitors from outside the UK, as when I was looking a week ago I couldn't find one and didn't want to wait hoping one would turn up in the B Grade section of OcUK.

Yes Overclockers have made a big cut to the Dell, however I'd still go for the HP with the H-IPS panel - you can't get better colour accuracy and crisp text.
