Recently got an idea of having a projector mainly for summer. Have a massive brick wall which can be turned into outdoor cinema-ish experience
Picked up a nec NP-U260X
Supposedly does 1080p and has a long lifebulb expectancy plus costs 50-60 to replace a bulb
Dont think firmware update is supported
Any advise on wherebto begin?
Settings, DIY screen, cable, how/where to connect?
Thank you

This one?

If so its not 1080o.

Buy a cheap outdoor screen on Amazon and hang it on the wall, plug a streaming stick into it and away you go.
Its a short throw projector, the V260X is not the one
U260X is 1080p from what i gather, might even support 3d? https://www.nec-display-solutions.c...ducts/Beamer/Current/DLP-U260W/DLP-U260W.html
Didn't pay a ton of money for it and hopefully will get some basic intel for the future purchase
In regards to the screen, how big can it be before image starts to distort?
Thank you

It literally says it's 1200x800 resolution
Certainly not 1080p

I wouldn't run a projector like that at all

I ran a budget projector about 10 years ago in the form of an Optoma 141x as my first foray into things when I lived at my parents and it was excellent, I now run a ultra short throw 88" one (Although this was a few years ago, so I probably wouldn't have limited myself like this if I was buying now)
