I'm a little drunk but I'll do my best at explaining this recipe. Ive never heard of this stuff since several days ago, basically you boil a tin of condensed milk for 2 hours and you end up with this amazing sweet nectar. http://www.notderbypie.com/dulce-de-leche/ If you do try it please follow the instructions to the letter as it might explode.

I read all the replies about adding it to bananas or Ice cream, so I combined the two and made my own recipe that I believe is fit for a decent restaurant. I took a small half circle metal bowl and lined it with chocolate (meted) then line the chocolate with Nectar of the god, next I added vanilla ice cream and bananas to it. Then I freeze if for several hours. Then serve with some tangerines and melted chocolate. Iam terrible at explaining so I drew a socking diagram. The two brown colours are the chocolate and the Nectar and the squiggles are the ice cream and bananas, turn it over on a dish, place some tangerines and drissel some chocolate to present it.

I'll post some pics tomorrow as I some in the fridge.

errr how come the can doesn't explode?

I wouldn't think a few inches of water would increase the external pressure that much.

If you keep the water level above the can if wont explode due to the pressure. dint take it straight out of the water once its cooked, let it cool for an hour in the pan.

I'm not exactly sure about the physics involved, but it works.

as i said i wouldn't have thought a few inches of water would increase the external pressure all that much?

When I fist read about this stuff I also thought it would explode. I'm not sure whats going on inside the can but the end result is Godlike.
