Easy one for you here:)

Built my PC 2 years ago now, and amongst a few other issues, the 4 gig of Geil RAM i bought have never been kind to me, from installing to Vista giving it a surprisingly low score:(

So i'm done, need some more Ram, something stable and relatively cheep. I had 6400 before and unless i'm going to see a massive improvement the same will be fine.

My spec is:

Abit IP35 Pro
Q6600
BFG 8800 GTX OC2

Thanks in advance

TT

I have 8GB of Crucial (not Ballistix) 8500 in my MSI P35 Neo2. No problems over the last year. Can't say the same for my previous 4GB Ballistix kit, but that was not really PC2-8500 but overclocked PC2-6400 sold as PC2-8500. Could never get proper stability at 1066Mhz. The 'proper' PC2-8500 I have now runs fine at 1066Mhz.

So 4 gig (2x2) of corsair or kingston ram should do me ok then you think? I just couldn't bare to go through the same cr4p i did with the Geil ram....

If there is not much benefit to 8500 over 6400 then i prolly go with the first suggestion.
