I bought a HX520 2nd hand, and need a 6 to 8 pin PCI-E adapter.

Googled for one, lots of people had the same problem, so ask corsair for one. Asked them, got 'EOL, wont help'

Even after I asked politely for a model number or part type so I can buy one and got ignored!, really bad customer service. I will go with another power supply manufacturer, and not recommend them in the future.

Anywayyy. anyone know which ones will fit? I dont know much about the pinouts except the square/rounded fits are propriety

That's not very Corsair like customer service, they're typically helpful and courteous especially on after sales support. If I had to guess, the person you asked was probably not familiar with the HX520 since that model is one of our first PSU that we ever released and had been EOL for quite sometime now. But to answer your question, matty is right, you can google search 6 to 8pin PCIE connector and there's a ton of them out there. You can also search molex to 8pin PCIE connector, that would work too. You can start here, https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cables-and-adapters/internal/power

Yeh those PSUs are long since discontinued, it's a little unreasonable to expect them to keep hundreds of proprietary cables on the shelf for decades.

I think that one is the same vintage as my Hx620, which is still going strong, so that's testament to how good the HX units are.

They used to stock cables for their older PSU's until recently, postage was a issue though.

That said the HX520 was a very early Corsair unit and as such I would not use it in a current rig of any significant power draw, it is over ten years old.

My Hx620 is doing fine, although it's probably not taxed that much with my current build, newer components being much more power efficient.
