Need a £400 PC

Ok woop iv'e ordered my new gaming rig and it will be sick :D.. now I need to build a pc for about £400 for my friend that I can sell to him for like 500-550, thing is iI only want to use parts on the oc site as its trusted... does anyone have any suggestions as I have never even looked at low range stuff before.
 
couple of weeks old i think, going to update tomorrow in fact when new TWO deals start, if you can wait
you want win in £400? so more like £330 for pc? thats gonna be tough if he plans to game

As for Windows... could you get it at the student price? Alternatively you could get a single user copy of Windows Server 2008 for around £20 which i believe is possible to turn into something akin to Vista. Don't forget to dual boot Linux!

hmm his not a serious gamer, but he plays games like.. rts's like age of empires etc and also he likes the sim city games, well lets say £350 for the pc + windows on top, i would prefer it to be either vista or win7 tho, many thnks.

Your charging your mate 150 quid to build him a computer? Why dont you just send him the way of the pre build bundles.. at least he gets a proper warranty with it and its professionally made.

I hope you are also offering a lengthy warranty and technical support for free, given the rip off build charge?

For your "mate" to get the best deal, point him in the direction of the prebuilds.
 
Don't really agree with OP, very unfair charge your "mate" £150 for a low end build especially with no warranty etc.

For £566 you could one of these

Better than anything you could conjour up! Plus warranty etc.
