Need a 775 replacement CPU!

For the current deal OC are offering on this CPU at the moment if i were looking to drop in a decent cpu it would be this one mate.

McstylisT, I think dropping £130 sheets on a LGA775 quad core isn't a wise suggestion!

peanuts on a tight budget and even if he wasn't it would work out better swapping him over to the LGA-1156 platform! :cool:

Hahah, what he said! :) Plus, now that it's booting up and all happy (despite some slightly major heat issues...) I think that's this thread made redundant! Thanks everyone for all the input tho.

reading back like that no it dont. :D

For a simple drop in CPU for his current 775 setup , the Q9450 @ £130 seemed the best bang for buck same socket option. From what I read if the OP that is what he was looking for. No ??
However if possibility of the 1156 is throw in to the equation then yes i would also feel this would be the far better financial outlay. :p
