HI
I just bought a 22" lcd sceen. running with my dell 1905. and I don't think my old 6600gt is taking it so well.
I have p4 531. mob is p945.
1g ddr2 667, sata drive. 400w power .
I am thinking to upgrade my graphic card. as my gears are pretty old.
the questions is what is the best graphic card I can get out there.
and not loos it's performace. less than £200.

1) Don't post threads in caps it makes you look like an idiot.
2)What is your budget?
3)what wattage is your power supply and how many amps can it provide on the +12V rail?
4)*pedantic* you don't need 'a' advice, you need some. ;)

Well you could get an X1950 pro for about £110, or a 7900GS for about £100

Not sure the 400w psu would be up to the job so you could also get a decent psu as well with your 200 quid budget :)

On the side of the box for my Sapphire X1950 Pro it states that the PSU needs to be at least 450W and capable of delivering 30A on the 12V rail.

From experience though, it seems these cards need a fair bit more than that to run stable!

I read a few more reviews. and finaly got myself a 7900gs which requires 400w psu. for £83. inclulding delivery.
the 7900gs is slower than x1950 pro. but requires less power.
I will get it in two day. will post again.
thanx again for everyone here.
