Hi

Looking for a backpack for traveling and using for days out , been looking at Berghaus , regatta and so on but there are so many.

has anyone got any suggestions on a good one to look for?

don't want anything to big just big enough to put smaller items in and stuff you can just chuck in like a jumper and drinks and so on.

cheers

When you say travelling and days out - what sort of thing do you mean? Day-hikes up a Munro, a casual stroll into town or something else entirely? Do you have a set budget for this? You can get a backpack for £5 but you could easily pay £80+ for another of similar size if you need the technical features.

If it's for proper hiking then it makes sense to spend a bit of money and get one with decent straps and a proper comfortable back system. If you're just going to be mooching about town and need something to hold snacks and a jumper then it is much less of an issue.

Berghaus do some reasonable backpacks, I've got an Arete 35 myself but it might be slightly overkill if your needs are simpler.

Hi

Bit of everything really , days out to the city mainly and using to carry items such as camera , umbrella and so on.

I have just got myself the Berghaus Remote Backpack 12L , it seems small and ideal for what I need it for at £30 it seems a good price.

cheers for the help guys

For what you're describing the Remote 12 seems like a perfectly reasonable choice, it's not huge or particularly overspecified so I hope you find it comfortable.

I was looking at the slightly larger 20L but I wanted something that is a bit more concealed on my back and not something that sticks out too much and the 20L would probably be to big for what I needed it for.

I hope it fits comfortably as I could not find a shop near me that stocks this daypack.

thanks
