Need a bit of help / clarification with ASUS CH7 X470

just a quick one to anyone who owns this board or even if you just know the answer, apart from CPU-Z how do if confirm if you GFX card is running in x8 mode or x16 mode.

The reason I ask is when running 2 nvme drives, I thought the GFX card dropped to x8 mode, however, CPU-z still says its in x16, and the raid0 nvme drives are defiantly giving me x4 x4 on both drives.

Gpu z... Run load on the card.... While monitoring on gpu z... 16x to 8x almost zero difference anyway outside benches.

Thanks, I tried that, I ran Valley benchmark whilst monitoring GPU-z, it still sat at x16

I think CH7 is the only mobo that can run 2xnvme and have x16gpu. It disconnects some other ports rather than reducing pcie bandwidth to x8.

On that board, with both m.2 slots populated, it'll drop your graphics card down to X8 lanes.

Use gpu-z, and run the render test to confirm it if you want.
