He means he wants to skip all the learning curve and just type numbers into boxes for instant overclocking gratification.

AGNI IT User.

Seriously though - just increase the BCLK until it becomes unstable. With that motherboard, RAM and CPU combination you should get a decent overclock without actually changing anything.

hi i recommended he comes here :p

he is really new to overclocking and just wanted a hand. hes has all top quality stuff and for some reason cant get even a mild overclock on his stuff which should be really easy seeing the bits he has.

he was looking for some basic starting points to start from and work from there.

Well, if he resets the BIOS and then just increases the BCLK with everything set to AUTO he will get an overclock.

It might not be the best overclock in the history of overclocking, but my P6T will do 170BCLK with just the BCLK changing.

Hello edelweiss800,

Welcome to OcUK Forums! :)

Please excuse my grumpy fellow forum members, I guess they got out the wrong side of Bed today! :p

There is a lot of posts and information on overclocking the Intel Core i7 already on the forums so if you use the search function or just loiter with intent in the overclocking section and give yourself a few days of nosing around you should find most of the info you need! ;)

There has been a new hardware launch today (Intel Core i5) so the place has gone a little crazy! . . . should calm down in a few days and then hopefully you may find someone who can help you a bit more!

Hi there, welcome to the forums.

I don't have any personal experience with your particular motherboard, but I did find a guide that should help you out.

Like WJA96, you should be able to get a nice little o/c from your rig by just raising the Bclk, I would imagine you could get to 3.36GHz without any troubles at all, just raise the Bclk to 160 and enable Turbo Boost Tech.

Give that guide a read through for a better understanding of your BIOS though, it should help you out.
