Need a card for 1900x1200 gaming

I play mostly FPS games (UT3, COD4, Bioshock) so need a good card. Is the 8800 GTX still the card to go for or should I get the 3870x2?
 
8800GTX imo i use a dell 24 inch for gaming my old 8800 GT struggled on cod4 at 1920x1200 used to have to drop to 1680x1050 for constant smooth frames online.

now have a onw brand OCUK gtx and it flys through everything at 1920x1200 expect crysis of course.

Imo the best bang per buck gaming is had on the cheapest 8800GTX you can get your hands on.
