Hiya,

I'm looking for a graphics card that supports 4 monitors for my dad's company. The IT guy suggested an ATI FireMV 2450, which costs £220, but I was wondering if there's anything cheaper. I assume that the motherboards support ATI cards. Could I get a Matrox splitter or something instead?

Cheers

Have a look at Sapphire 5770 Flex?

"Turning the card round to look at the outputs we find DisplayPort, HDMI 1.3a, and two DVIs. This all seems quite normal but the FleX is far from average in terms of outputs. The reason for this is that on previous Radeon cards there was a requirement that the 3rd screen in an Eyefinity setup had to be a DisplayPort screen or use an active DisplayPort to DVI adapter, adding extra cost. For the FleX edition card our first two screens can use DVI as normal, the third the uses the passive HDMI to DVI cable which is bundled with the card. In summary... three screens, no need for DisplayPort or extra cables. For those who then want to use the DisplayPort socket on the card, they can add a 4th screen through use of this."

A Sapphire 44000-02-40R Active Display Port DVI Cable/Adapter would cost around £17, and a Sapphire 5770 FLEX would cost around £105-£120.
