I bought six be quiet! Silent Wings 3 120mm case fans in November 2020 and two have recently stopped working so I figured I may as well replace all six. What would be a solid upgrade for these fans? Not too bothered by price. Got around £250 to spend, maybe more if required.

I have a Lian Li O11 Dynamic case and have 3 exhaust fans on the top and 3 intake fans on the side. I was told this layout is fine but if anyone has any suggestions then I'm happy to change it around.

Thanks

Budget option though still decent fans
Artic p12
Expensive option as long as 30mm thick
Isn't an issue phanteks t30
Digital rgb options
Phanteks d30
Lian li al120 or infinity v1 or v2
Huge amount of different fans though
Saying whether you want rgb may help

I the fans in 4x Icy Dock drive bays in a server I had with the new Arctic P12 MAX option, very happy and will likely replace my main PC case fans also next time I am planning any other upgrade/maintenance.

I swear by Noctua. Pay a premium but have assurance that

a) You have one of the best products on the market
b) They will be quiet
c) They will perform well

I tell myself I'm paying extra to not have to spend hours researching what else to buy.

Best fan I’ve ever used T30. Cheaper option P12.
For RGB, the D30 is good but won’t be as quiet and efficient as the T30. Is a trade off for RGB.
Tried the Silent Wings 4 and honestly wasn’t impressed.
Noctua is fine, but their 140mm fans aren’t as good as their masterpiece 120mm. Good but not as good.
If you only want performance and silence, the cheapest option is to use bottom and side intake P12 at 800rpm ish and top and rear exhaust, 600-800rpm. Realistically, no reason to run faster, and near 1k rpm the P12 shows some humming.
The T30, except at the bottom, will be inaudible up to 800-900 rpm. Bottom, for most cases as gap between case and fan isn’t ideal, requires 100-200rpm less to match noise level, but not an issue for other cases. Not sure about the O11 you’re using. The Evo allows some good clearance. One of the reason I sold the NZXT H9, and poor clearance for top mounted AIO.

Even better than the P12 are the new Thermalright C12PRO. Easily on par with Noctua performance wise. The Arctic fans have such an annoying hum to them.

Please let us know how the RMA goes. I've never had to RMA anything with be quiet!, so will be interesting to see how their customer support is.
