need a case for q6600

Basically, i overclocked my Q6600 for the first time the other week, followed proper guides etc. But my temp was getting to 80° for all cores.
When i set it to default i noticed it was already running at 60° so hoping a new case would sort the problem since mine is only a stock one now.

I would like one around £100 -/+ about £20. Could anyone give me some suggestions?

as embarrassing as it sounds, i'm not sure. I let me friend take care of most of the stuff in the case.
If i was to go for the HAF 932 you suggested, do you have any suggestions for a cpu cooler?

Infact a different question now, do you have suggestion for cpu cooler + power supply? If you could figure some of these out, maybe you could then suggest how much i could oc my q6600 at a rate which would be safe with these?

I know that really didn't make sense haha, but i hope you can help ^_^

do you have access to a semi decent digital camera, ie something that will give us pics we can read model numbers off? if so do you mind photographing the inside of your case so we can identify your PCs parts and help guide you down any potential upgrade paths

If your Q6600 is running at 60° at stock I would guess it's a stock heatsink and fan from intel.

If that was the case, would i be wise to invest in a new case, cooler and power supply?

I idealy want to oc to about 3.4 and keep it stable. If this was achievable what 3 items would i need out of the things listed? Possibly already including the HAF 932 since it looks cool :P

also eventually i will be upgrading my gfx card to possibly a 9800, i'm not sure if this will affect your choices or not ;]

ps. i will still work on getting the pics up tomorrow

personally i dont think it will be much use unless it will give you names of every major component in your PC

There are many good cpu coolers, Thermalright 120 ultra/extreme (often called the TRUE here), Tuniq tower 120 and the noctua are just a few of the best. Psu wise i can only vouch for the corsair hx620, its modular and a very solid performer. Don't underestimate how important a good stable psu is, its not an area to scrimp on, especially if you are overclocking.

I think i may go after the tuniq tower 120 cpu cooler, it looks the business really. haha.
I really want to keep the price below £180 for the case, psu and cpu cooler however, maybe £200 if something is worth the extra bit due to wanting to buy a gfx card about month after.

As for the digital pictures, turns out my camera wasn't too good at taking screenshots, but i made a mean diagram

Sorry for general pc noobishness, but i'm here to learn and take advice from people who know right?

after a lot of looking about at reviews and other parts of the forum, seems like i will go for the 1200. It looks really nice, and heard very positive things from it.

Cpu wise it will be the Tuniq Tower 120

However im still unsure about the psu, say if i was wanted to overlock my q6600 to about 3.4, what would be most ideal?

Adding another question, what would be an advisable gfx card, willing to spend about £120 at around the end of Jan for this. Would it be wise to wait for newer cards to be released before purchasing?

Sorry for all the questions, but it's really helping :)

Airflow on your current case would be a start, if your looking to keep things under that budget I'd go Antec 300 with some good fans :)

I keep changing my opinion of what to do, I feel as though it's best to go for a cheaper case and i will then buy a few extra fans for it.

I'm thinking of the suggested Antec 300 and then purchasing an extra 2/3 fans. Most likely these:

Will these work well with the Antec 300 case?

I will be buying this headsink i believe:

And is the Antec 300 case big enough to hold a an ATI 4850 card? since i will be getting one not long after ^_^

I think this is my last set of questions, sorry for being a bit of an idiot but thanks so much for the help given :P

Personally, I'd get something a bit better than the AC7 Pro if I was overclocking a quad. It's a good cooler but the fan is noisy at full tilt and that's where it will be.

As the others have said, you'd make a considerable improvement to your current case just be adding a fan at the front and rear. A couple of these would be a good, cheap start. The Akasa LED fans aren't generally the quietest around, they just look pretty.
