Hey,

My case has the PSU at the top which is supposed to rest on a little metal shelf that runs along the length of the PSU below it.

however my PSU does not reach this shelf by around 1CM. the shelf is only about 1 CM wide, with another shelf at the back of the PSU that runs along the width

I saw this metal putty thing but I'm not sure if it's safe to use:
- Hard and fast, metal epoxy putty
- Sets to be as hard as steel
- Can be used on metal exhaust pipes, stopping leaking radiators, welding pipes
- Hardens in 10 minutes, will be fully cured in 1 hour
- 50g putty

Any ideas if this will work?

the four fixing screws are enought for most psu - rails are only 'needed' for the 900+ oversized units.
Or the really heavy passive psu's
Silly question - but is the psu up the right way for that case?

If the case is of any reasonable quality, the shelf is unnecessary. However, I had the same problem with a previous case which was of very dubious quality (thin metal) - my solution was to bend the shelf upwards.
