Hi all, am building a Home Server and got almost everything i need other than a case.

Am after a black case, cheap as possible for 7 HDs and will take a ATX motherboard.

Any ideas?

antec p180 aslong as you dont use a floppy drive

Maximum expandability with 11 Drive Bays
- External 4 x 5.25"; 1 x 3.5"
- Internal 6 x 3.5" for HDD

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=81800

no exactly cheap but you can get it in this week only for £82 if your quick!

or you could buy a cheap case and use this along with the existing spaces in the case

not a bad idea

have been thinking of getting 2 Antec 900s, one for my desktop and one for the server.

The server is gonna be sitting in a closet, with wifi, so its never gonna be seen

the 900 will fit them in fine as its got the 6 bays and 1 converter.
but i dont think it would fit well in a cupboard with all the fans.
or the titan 550 with the same system.

i don't mind fans, i like the noise, then i know the thing is working lol

The fans will all be volt modded to run as quite as possible but still hearable. I don't like a complete silent machine.

Stacker. If you're going to fit 7 hard drives you want space for further expansion, and not be on the case limits straight away. I think the Stacker will fit 9- 3 HD's in each module, space for 3 modules.

and you could always use the CM Stacker 4in3 module with that too... it's compatible with any ATX case.

It is, but you have to have a case with mesh cover bays, not solid otherwise airflow will be restricted/non existant. Unless you remove the bays, but that means dusty air will go straight into the case.
