Looking for a cheapy laptop for my mum, At most it will be used for Storing photo's (I will set it to backup to my server) surfing the web, Microsoft office, Youtube, Emails and solitaire.
So i dont want to spend a fortune but i dont want a slow dog. I have spotted a HP 15-da0596sa for £399 its got this new "optane" thing that as far as i can tell is a SSD Cache for the HDD does the OS sit on this? The spec is

Im a little concerned at the 4gb memory and unsure if its got a second slot or if its 2x2gb etc.
it seems an "OK" spec for £399, and that my maximum budget can i beat this? or do any better?
