Need a cheap motherboard!

hi, sorry for late reply I have been busy the last few days

i left the battery out for a day or two hopefully this was ok, i just put it back and unfortunately no avail, i started my machine, pressed f12 for boot order, selected my audio drive to install from disc and it hung as soon as the starting windows appeared

do you think this is the mb then? i can't really see what else is causing it seeing as i've tried other hdd/ssd's

just ordered that mb, hope this helps or it's a waste of £65 ;/

How much water got into the pc?
Have you removed cpu and cooler to check if there is still water in the socket?
Put mobo without cpu and cooler in airing cupboard or on a radiator for a day or so and retry maybe :)
 
Just took my CPU fan and CPU out and checked for water, it looked pretty dry but when i put my pc back together and turn it on, the case lights up and the cpu fan spins etc but after a few seconds the cpu fan stops and then the case lights go off and so does the computer, then it just keeps restarting like it's stuck in an infinte loop lol; nothing gets shown to the screen whilst this is happning

do you think the problem is cpu or mb related?
 
You need help from someone who has another PC to start swapping parts around to see whats bust I think.
 
I agree,it could be any part atm,the fact that your getting into the bios fine is a good sign

but it could be board/hdd's cpu idk without you testing

have you booted from windows dvd and tried startup repair?

if its in an endless loop make sure you didn't damage any cpu socket pins,and do another cmos clear
 
Yeah i've tried startup repair it just hangs and if i run startup repair in safe mode it just says it could not repair at this time or something :S
 
hi i just recieved and installed the new motherboard and windows installed straight away!

lucky guess it was the mb ;)

just need to find the drivers etc now
