Need a Cheap, Reliable Router

Right, I've had enough of my o2 Wireless Box II. It's truly a piece of crap. It keeps dropping wireless, slowing the connection, giving a weak signal etc etc, and I've had more than enough.

I did have a spare Netgear DG834G which served me very well for a long time, but that died during an update. I tried it again tonight, but it's dead. So I raged it to pieces.

I need something that's going to fulfil all my meagre requirements with aplomb, something I can depend upon and not play Wifi lottery with over my o2 connection.

As soon as I have a replacement, I'm going to exact my revenge on the abomination that is the o2 Wireless Box II. That will be a happy day indeed.

What say you OcUK? What can I get for ~£20?

I'd add another 0 to your budget and get a Draytek 2820 or something you'll never look back

I'd buy a dir615 from that famous auction site, they can be had for around £16. Flash it with DD-WRT and use your O2 box as modem only - connected to the 615's WAN port. Job done

btw, whatever you decide, don't kill the o2 box as they'll ask for it back when you cancel your contract and will charge if you decide to keep / destroy it.
