Howdy,

When I mean second monitor, I mean monitors 4 & 5.

I have an 8800GTS happily powering 3 24" via a triplehead 2Go. I am expanding out to a 5th monitor (4th was powered by a PCI fx5500.

So I need a real budget PCI-e or PCI card with an nVidia chipset that has dual outs. DVI and or DVI/dSub.

The problem I have is that when I bought the 8800GTS it was an OK card, now ages later there are new cards and new model numbers.

I have looked in the budget nVidia cards in the shop, but unsure of which to get.

As the extra monitors will only be used for e-Mail and displaying web pages, no serious power is needed.

So, £50 - £100 is my budget.

Any ideas?

Ta.

Would say go for a Geforce 210 or 9400GT at ~£30 (linked). If it's just for basic web display, don't see why wou'd need anything more..

EDIT: Just noticed 2x DVI stipulation, my bad. Might have to head down the ATi route for that if you're going for cheap (if ordering from OcUK). No reason you couldnt if you're running Windows 7, the drivers will play nice together..

Or just find a previous generation NVidia card with dual DVIs...any of them will probably do..

Thanks,

I dug my old 1950XT plugged it in, got some code 10's from old installations. Sorted that out, now got all 5 screens happily chugging along :-)
