I need a laptop to run my sim.

At the moment I play ETS2 and ATS.
Maybe Train driver in the future but that's it.

I need cheapest possible tht will run at half reasonable graphics.
I'm currenty just using an Windows 10 HP Pavillion Tablet/detach keyboard thing on windows 10 and it really struggles.

My old laptop is still working great but its XP. The sims need at least 7.

Whats the cheapest can I get away with?

I'm also in the market for a gaming laptop to run these two games aswell - I have a demanding job and no longer feel sutiably equipped for the rigours of playing FPS and racing games.

I find ETS 2 quite a theraputic game to play, and it has actually caused me to harbour somewhat of an interest in trucks ;)

Anyway, to the point;

I am considering the HP 15-ax206na - at just under £1,000 it has an i7 7700, 1050ti, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, 1 GB HDD and a HD Screen. I've yet to see any conclusive reivews regarding the screen it has, so have yet to commit to purcahsing it. Ive pretty much ruled out the Dell Inspiron 7000 as the screen is pretty mediocre from what I've read.

If you've got a bigger budget than I have, I've heard that the MSI laptops of equivalent specification have very good screens. There are available at OCUK and have very good screens from what I have read.

Same boat as me, helps me unwind from work, and I love trucks.

Not sure on budget as such, just don't want to spend more than I need too just to do this one job.

I was hoping £800-1000 would do on something new. It has to better than what I'm using now. Either that or go up spec but used and take a chance.

You an get the HP Omen with a 1050 and i5 which should be plenty, its around £800

How are the screens on these? Keen to avoid getting anything with poor colour reproduction, contrast or viewiing angles. I've heard bad things about the Dell Inspiron 7000 gaming, but nothing conclusive about the 2017 HP Omen as of yet.
