Need a CPU cooler for parents 1151 machine

Hello all,

I'm currently giving a few old parts to my parents modest G550 machine to improve it a bit.

So far I have replaced the generic PSU with a BeQuiet unit I used for a while. I'm also planning on donating a better case fan and my old SSD.

The main culprit for this relatively noisy machine seems to be the stock intel cooler.

Can someone recommend a cheap cooler to replace this? I have a spare noctua PWM fan I could mount to it if needed, proving it has a standard 120mm fan.

All good coolers and certainly not anywhere near as loud as the stock cooler

If you want quiet (and you don't mind spending some dosh) get the NHU-12S and use the low noise adapter that comes with it. Whisper quiet. Great build quality, market leading mounting system.

Recently fitted a Cryorig M9i and found it to be excellent, great build, almost inaudible.
