Hey guys, i just recently placed an order for an Intel E6600 with a Asus P5B-Deluxe and Ram, i just started to realise that i will need to buy a good quality CPU cooler since i will be doing some overclocking as soon as i set it up and have it running.

I really want to stay away from the coolers that require you take out your motherboard as some do need to have their screws fiitted to the back of the motherboard.
I know i haven't even received my components and not even set up the system, but I'm kinda curious that in the future when i upgrade to a new CPU, i will have to go through the hassle of taking out the motherboard inorder to free the cooler.

I'm thinking of spending between £10-20 on a cpu cooler and the Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro seems quite decent, but will that require some kind of screw to be fitted in the back of the motherboard?

Would appreciate any advice

Get the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. It's relatively easy to fit without removing the mobo and it's an excellent cooler.

That said, I've never seen a cooler that wasn't easier to install with the mobo out of the case (or at least with the mobo tray removed).

my current cpu cooler which is an akasa evo 120 was very simple to install on my amd 4000, but that doesn't seem to be the case if i wanted to use that on my intel e6600. I read the manual on how to install the cooler on a lga775 cpu, and it wasen't as straight forward as the s939 setup as it require you to take out the motherboard.

but anywayz, i've ordered the arctic cooler 7 pro, hope it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to setup.
thnx :)
