I need a CPU cooler for my i5 2500k. I am willing to pay up £60, might pay bit more. I am using NZXT Phantom case and MSI GD65 motherboard, so I got plenty of room for any cooler, I think anyway.

In the last 2 months, I've tried the AC Freezer Pro and Corsair H50, but the temps were still too high, so I went for the Silver Arrow and am very happy with it mate.:)

silver arrow is the best air cooler out there. short of making your own water cooling system your not going to get any better

cooler will have plenty of room in there too (although you may need to remove some case fans for it to fit, im not sure)

correct that is a good if not best air cooler you are going to get for under £60 how ever what ram are you using as this wont fit if you are using ripjaws or other high heat sink ram

I got Corsair XMS3 ram.

By what I've read on the internet seems like I'll be going with the silver arrow.

+1 on the Silver Arrow. The price/performance ratio is pretty amazing, especially comparing to the Noctua D14 which is it's main competitor for the top spot.

Nowhere as good or quiet as the Silver Arrow and an absolute pain to install in comparison.

I cant really comment on the Silver Arrow as i have never owned 1, but i disagree with you stating that its an absolute pain to install, i personally found the Frio very easy to install on the motherboard.

It is loud when you have both fans spinning @ 2500rpm, however on the lowest settings with 1 or 2 fans, it is like any other CPU cooler.

I would like to see a comparison between the Silver Arrow and the Frio temps wise, i think the Frio is extremely underated on this website and in general.

My view a fantastic cooler that is also cheaper than the Arrow.

The Frio is a great cooler, no doubt about that but since it was first released, its price has gradually gone up. It's not unrated at all and I've recommended it myself many time. However, anyone who can stretch to £50 should look at the Silver Arrow because it is in a completely different league to the Frio. Having used both and a range of other coolers, the Frio's installation method is nowhere as easy as the others either. Check the link in my sig for a temperature comparison.
