Need a Dashcam

I find the roadhawk video to be great on the ones we have just installed at work. You set it up for max res and 60fps?

A couple of mates of mine have GoPro's (no idea what models) but they do excellent video quality and the sound is also spot on. I know their not cheap, but they do say you get what you pay for and these give superb results :D

I would never use a GoPro as an every day dashcam. They are great for track days but the #1 criteria I have for a dashcam is that you get in the car and start driving and the Dashcam will automatically record which a GoPro will not do.

Are these things discreet? I keep thinking about one with the GPS for speed and map overlay etc, but don't want something glaringly obvious hanging in the car.

I'm of the opinion that if I am spending £70 on a proper Chinese camera, then I may aswell spend the extra £50 or so and get a branded one with some sort of warranty and decent software like Blackvue :/

The MI one looks great, especially with the rear view add on. Price mounts up though when you include add-ons.

Question on wiring, could I use the interior light wiring to power these, or is it best to plumb it in properly, through ignition or whatever?

Could have done with one of these this morning, experienced some right road rage!

the first one with the option to buy a rear cam looks pretty damn good! that price tag to go with it though :\

be looking @ close to £350 with the front/rear cams and the hard wire kit... :(

That's one thing that put me off it, at £350 you could get 2 LS430W 1080p cameras instead of the lower res rear camera from the other camera.
