Need a decent RPG to play!

While I'm waiting for Diablo 3 to come out I need a decent RPG to play.

I really enjoyed Oblivion (still need to complete Shivering Isles actually) so something like that would be good. Fallout 3 looks like it's got potential, but I'm not sure on that weird combat system where you have to stop and select the part of the body you want to hit.

I also really like games like Titan Quest, Diablo II.

I quite enjoyed the Sacred 2 demo, but it's not really worth the price it's currently at.

In FO3 you dont have to stop. It's just an option if you want to play it that way. It's good for taking some long range sniper shots with but when you get close I just shoot myself.
 
Nice, actually looks like a pretty decent system if you want to snipe something. What's the gameplay and combat like compared to something like Oblivion?
 
You don't have to use the VATS system Craig321. It's nothing like Oblivion other than it uses the same engine... and developed by the same people. :p

Different levelling system, you have to shoot people. Free roaming though so it's partially like oblivion in that sense.

Have you played Mass Effect?
 
Another vote for Mass Effect. I think it's the best single-player game I played in 2008.
 
Mass effect but get it on console. I beleive PC had some problems and really the whole fps stuff in it doesn't need a mouse. I loved it on the big screen though. Greatgame very much enjoyed the story!

You know you may wana look at older games, morrow wind is great but unfortunetly oblivion didn't deliever in comparsion and its hard to go from oblivion down to morrow wind due to the graphics and morrow wind not being dumberd down. Oblivion gives you everything on a plate and in a way made it boring for me. But im guseing if you enjoyed oblivion you may find morrow wind frustrating. I dunno, dont know your play style.

Witcher is ment to be good.

I'll look at some more videos on Gamespot & YouTube, looks really good from what I've seen so far :). I'm guessing they haven't released a demo?
 
Kill yourself before playing Fallout 3!
It will save you the wasted hours roaming around in am uninspiring shadowless land with no one for company but idiots and bad punks.

Just download more quests/factions mods for Oblivion.

3 brilliant RPGs from this year on the pc :D

Just started King's Bounty last night, similar to the Heroes of Might & Magic games, which I loved, and so far so nice.
 
played fallout 3, and mass effect.. both pretty awesome.
The witcher, i tried the demo, for some weird reason it wouldnt run properly on my q6600,4gb ram, 8800gts, so i never tried it again.

Will look into buying it and see if it runs on my lappy :D
