need a decent switch

Hey guys,

i'm in need of a decent 24 port gigabit ethernet switch. We are going to have 12 computers connected but need scope for more (hence 24). Transfering large files (120gb at a time more then likely), so speed is off the essence. Budget is around £200-250 but could stretch to more if needed.

what should I be looking for (make, tech specs et), i'm not too clued up on this stuff!

HP Procurve 2124 unmanaged or a 1700-24 for a managed one.

I'm thinking unmanaged as its litterally just sending files across a network, no fancy things involved.

HP as recommended above, rock solid from what I've used so far and they have a decent warranty. Build quality of the hardware is also substantially better than other brands at similar prices I've found too.
