Need a decent webcam

Ok no nothing really about webcams as all i have had in the past are the crappy 10€ ones but we are looking for a good webcam to use for recording and live streaming.
The plan is to have the camera streaming live shows on a stage so can webcams handle areas which may not have a lot of lights?
I have been looking at

Also we would need to use a USB cable extension to run about 5 metres, would that cause a great loss in quality?

Or are we looking at totally the wrong thing here.

Cheers for that mate, didnt see it at first but the description about the light is mentioned on the description on OC too - totally missed that.
