hi,this might sound strange but could anybody put win 7 rc on a disc and post me it?,i will pay you for postage costs and what not.basicly ive read and been given guides on how to do it but there abit over my head lol.so if anybody would do it for me i would be very gratfull, thanks

do you have an ISO downloaded?

once you have that

install imgburn

open imgburn, in the wizard, choose 'burn/write image file to disc'

failing that, i can post you my windows 7 x64 7100 (rc) dvd if you want

no need to pay me, can just 'owe' me

it is pretty easy though, which stage are you at?

mainly what confuses me is like what dos ISO mean?.i havnt built my new pc yet but i will be installing it on a old pc first too see what its like then i will putting it on a AMD 955 BE gaming pc,ill download it and use img-burn,also yea ive installed a OS before

An .iso is essentially just the contents of a disk, in one file. Using compatible burning software, you can burn this file to disk and create a working copy of an OS.

It's very, very easy.

ok,i can allways give it a try lol,ill let you know how i get on later on in the week/next week

If at any point you run into any problems, stop what you're doing and post here as much info as you can. Somebody will help you, it should be a 2 min job to start burning the disk.

Once you know what you've done, you'll be laughing at the fact you had difficulty to begin with! ;)

right how do i burn it at low speed?.also the pc im putting it on wont have a OS on it.also do i partition the hdd from the bios or once ive got it installed?

I haven't used imgburn personally but look for a setting named Burn Speed or words to that effect. Lower it right down, I always burn at minimal speed to ensure against possible burn errors.

As for the hard drive, When you boot from the Windows disc you will choose your hard drive in the setup. Create a volume with it (assuming it says Unallocated Space) using the New option, and then Format it, once this is done, click next and off it goes. :)

When you are using your burning software it will give you an option about what speed to burn at.

You will be using a blank dvd, so 2x or 4x would be your best options.

If there hdd you are installing windows7 to is blank, just pop the disk in quickly when you turn it on, and follow the onscreen instructions. You'll find instructions very clear. :)
