Can somone with a copy of Quake 1 installed do me a favour.

I need some screenshots of the main entrance hallway.. from as many angles as possible. say 10 ish shots..

By entrance hallway i mean the first room you see.. With the Easy, Medium and Hard portals.. ie had a look on Google image but cant find any screen shots of that room ...

PS. Higher the res the better.

Thanks in advance :)

Heh :)

As he needed high res, I assumed he wanted something with a lil' candy. My normal playing settings probably look worse than quake does out of the box, resolution aside.

For me quake has moved on from the dark and dingy days anyway, but it's scarier than ever when you're trying hang on to a narrow lead in the last minute and there's an enemy quadrunner bunnyhopping round the corner, lightning gun blazing.

If all you need is the start level or those from the first episode, just download and install Quake shareware.

http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/quake/patches/win32/

Quake106.zip (8-ish meg) is what you want.
plus
wq100.zip for the original windows software rendering version.
and/or
glq1114.exe for the original windows gl rendering version.
(don't install the 3dfx miniport/driver unless you're usiing a 3DFX video card - If you wind up with a glide error, delete the opengl32.dll from the folder you installed Quake shareware into).

Remember, quake.exe is a DOS executeable and q95.bat basically a hack to run it on win95. They won't work properly on XP. Ever.
Run either Winquake.exe, glquake.exe or the executable for the client you have chosen to install and you'll be fine :)

That way you can choose exactly which viewpoint you want and have it looking totally unmodified.
If you like, you can install updated Quake or QW clients such as JoeQuake, Darkplaces or ezQuake(qw) which will work just fine with the shareware version.
