I just cant seem to work out how to get 1:1 timings. Which will give me 3Ghz out of my 2.6.
At 1:1 i need to have a fsb of 300Mhz. But it just wont boot.

I am guessing i need to change the ram timings for it to reach 400Mhz, how do i get that extra few mhz, to give me 3Ghz?

At 292Mhz - Cpu Temp 52c, all is good and stable. Memory Frequency reports 365Mhz. FSB:DRAM = At 4:5. Memory timing 5-5-5-12

Abit AW9D-MAX
Intel Dual Core E6700
OCZ PC2-6400

Thanks.

I had an AB9Pro, which I think has the same OC Guru BIOS. If so then in the OC Guru menu there is a DRAM Spec. (CPU:DRAM) option. Set that to what you want the base speed to be and off you go.

Traditionally, to get the best out of Abit boards you have always had to set the N/B Strap as high as it will go. That makes the system think it's underclocked and allows you to push much harder. I think my AB9Pro had a 1333 option. If yours has it, set it to that.

Actually - that's a diabolical overclock for an E6700. It;s supposed to run at 266x10 so at 365FSB you should be doing 3.65GHz. What multiplier are you running?

Have you turned off all the power saving features?
