Hey guys, got a little bit of time at the moment and looking for something to play.

As it says in the title, my computers a little older.

E8500 @ 3.9GHz
2GB Ram
8800 GTS 640mb

The game I'm thinking about getting the most at the moment is Mass Effect 2 but, I was wondering how much of an impact not having a previous save game from the first Mass Effect would have. (I played the original on the Xbox)

I played Fallout 3 and thought it was quite enjoyable and I'm considering Fallout NV. I've heard that the game is quite buggy though.

Hmmm, Amnesia: Dark Descent.. should I!? .. tempted but that game looks pretty damn scary!

So yeah, I would say I'm looking for an RPG, taking a break from shooters at the moment but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Doom3
Quake4
FarCry
HL2
COD games

Your PC should be more than able to run those games, might struggle with black ops mind.

EDIT : Missed the last bit about forgetting shooter :D

Hows about Elder Scrolls 3?

RollerCoast Tycoon 1 + 2. Both been released on Gog.com recently and I could happly waste hours on them

Also Civ 3 / 4 or OpenTTD Will steal days of my life from me.

+1 for Torchlight, awesome little dungeon crawler. Combine that with the program torchleech and mod it to your hearts content.

Pretty sure you could run Oblivion on that!

Another Bethesda RPG :D

System Requirements said:
Recommended
Windows XP or Windows 7
Due to severe bugs and design flaws that severely affect performance in Windows Vista, its highly recommended to use either Windows XP or Windows 7; Windows 7 is almost identical to Windows Vista in terms of its interface, though many performance issues have been resolved.
3 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
Multicore processors should have an advertised clock speed of 3GHz, as this is the speed each core runs at. Oblivion will not benefit very much from extra cores, so having a high speed per core is important.
2 GB System RAM or more
Oblivion will not benefit much past 3GB of RAM, as Oblivion has no 64-bit executable meaning it can access a maximum of 2.5GB of RAM. Adding extra RAM will allow the Operating System to use the excess, allowing Oblivion to use the maximum amount of RAM it is able to.
ATI X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card

Get yourself Company of Heroes (not exactly an rpg, but still awsome), I think gameplay had the 3 game version for £4.99 whis is a steal.

I used to run that & Oblivion on a amd 3000+ with 256mb 7800gs agp graphics card, so you will be fine at a lower detail level :P

Also agreed that Torchligh is a fun game, not too much story though. Maybe look at Star Wars :Knights of the old republic.

Mass Effect 2 is good. I never played the first, although you loose some insight on a couple of things, it's not too bad. But I will definitely be playing ME3 with one of my ME2 save. Trying to max out one paragon and one renegade title (with matching pink armour).

The upcoming Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2 should scale well with hardware. Still quite a long way away.
