It will be my dedicated game playing machine, to watch a few movies.. its basically to plugin my new projector, so I wont really be using its own display much

will need to chew up 1080p games
512GB+ SSD +

how much noise do mechanic HDD's make in them?

Also, if I connect the projector to the laptop, will the projector be limited by the laptops display?

Hi marktruman,

Could be a well timed enquiry,......

Under budget, over spec and will output 4K @ 60Hz to your projector on the HDMI 2.0 port:

HDMI 2.0 - Higher Frame Rate, Higher Potential
The era of true 4K Ultra-HD is upon us! The untapped potential of 4K resolutions is realized through HDMI 2.0! Unlike HDMI 1.4 which only supports 8-bit colour and 30 FPS, HDMI 2.0 can display games like never before! Supporting up to 18 Gbps transfer, the true potential of 4K resolution is realized through 12-bit colour and 60Hz refresh rate! Finally see your favourite games how they were meant to be seen, in true high definition

Was £1,899 and is a limited quantity early Black Friday deal.

Check it out.

that does look good, does the HDMI 2.0 support older HDMI leads?

maybe a silly question

Hi marktruman,

It's not a silly question,,,,,,

But in answer, "yes" the technology is backwards compatible and older generation leads will fit, and transfer data at the faster speeds offered.

Hope that clarifies.
