Looking at upgrading my 3 year old 24" 1080p Iiyama screen.

With only a GTX970 I know 4k is not really an option unless it was just pure desktop work, so I have been looking at 1440p panels.

I'm not a hardcore gamer, in fact only I really play Eve Online, World of Tanks and Cities Skylines.

I know that the EVE engine is still very basic and I'd be fine running that at 1440p, and probably OK with Skylines. I'm thinking I could set some fairly high settings with WoT and still hit at least 60fps.

I have a budget of around the £350 mark and the first screen that took my eye was the BenQ GW2765HT

From the reviews here and on other sites it seems to get a good thumbs up.

Just wondered if there's anything better out there for my budget.

Cheers

I have an Acer XB270hu and run a test last night to show the wife the difference between 60hz gaming and 144hz gaming in BF4 and she was amazed at how much smoother the game play was. (i turned g-sync off to show a proper comparison)

100hz plus for sure.

Or if you prefer the matte finish the Q2770PQU is one of our best!

3 year on-site warranty too!

I did look at this but She Who Must Be Obeyed wants a smaller bezel on the monitor

I think I'm ending up with the same dilemma many people seem to be facing trading off either an IPS panel or 100hz+, I cannot seem to find a good 1440p, IPS. 100hz+ screen within budget. It's just which area to compromise on, I'm not even going to mention G-Sync :p
